FOR YOUR
INFORMATION
Your clothes
: Should be lightweight and warm. I try to buy clothes that
will dry out in the wind fast. I do not bring rain pants because my
hunting pants are waterproof. It is better to have layers than bulky
clothing.
Baggage : 50 lb per person allowed. This will be
strictly enforced.
Soft gun
cases : The charter flight service asks clients to leave
hard gun cases in Smithers. Please bring a soft gun case for the airplane.
We have a place to leave hard gun cases in Smithers.
Gun Insurance
& Regulations
We recommend all hunters purchase extra coverage for their rifles
while in transit with the Airline companies. Airlines will only give
10-20 cents on the dollar of their actual value.
A firearm declaration
will be provided; present your form to Canada Customs upon entry into
Canada. We recommend you fill out your form prior to arrival at customs.
The form must be signed in front of a Canada Customs Official.
Hunt Dates
: If your hunt commences in August be prepared for warm and
cooler weather. For mid September to October hunts, please bring warm
clothes for snow and below freezing temperatures.
*** Liquor,
candy, licenses and other items must be purchased prior to leaving
